A day out with Capt. Pat
Meet the captain
Capt. Pat
USCG licensed and insured, and running these rivers long enough to know which bend the fish are holding on before the boat gets there. Guests come for the fishing and leave talking about the history; the old fish camps, the dredging of the marsh, what this county looked like before the interstate came through.
Every charter is private and built around whoever's aboard, whether that's four serious anglers or a family with kids who've never held a rod.

From sight seeing, fishing, and learning about old FL history, he is your guy. Weather he's teaching you about cops and robbers from the 1800s, FL native plants, or how to hook a bass, that's your captain. All things old school Florida. I can't wait to come back! Thank you!Posted on Google tom mckinchTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Awesome day out on the water! Pat was very personable and accommodating to all our needs. We had our 3 young kids with (6, 3 and 8 months old) and Pat was super patient and accommodating to help the older 2 fish and be a part of the experience!Posted on Google Ray DeckerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Myself, son and granddaughters had a great time with Pat. Pat is really a nice person to be with. We fished the Headwaters, which was a first time for my family. What a great fishery and Pat put us on plenty of bass. His tritoon is very comfortable with plenty of fishing area. I am a double amputee and it was very comfortable for me. When I had all the sun I needed. Pat opened the awning to give me shade. We did a 6hr trip and the shade from the awning was great. I have been on a lot of guided tours. Pats is one of the best.Posted on Google Mari OgimachiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. On October 11 we had visitors from out of state and Northern Central Florida. What a beautiful and comfortable boat. Captain Pat was polite, extremely accommodating, and a very good listener as to what was important to us. He helped create a beautiful memory for us and we highly recommend this service.Posted on Google Jaylen HershbergerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had an amazing experience!Posted on Google D MarqTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I ended up in Florida on a journey to find some much-needed healing. Even though he didn’t know me from Adam, Pat had volunteered time on his boat to take me out one-on-one to catch some bass out of the reeds. The healing power of being out in nature with someone who cares about you is a powerful thing. That was May. I’m doing really well on my journey and finding some solid answers. I still keep in regular touch with Pat, as we connected powerfully on our trip. I’m proud to call him a friend and a consummate outdoorsman. Thank you, Pat. And thanks for all the fish.Posted on Google Z NTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been fishing for over 4 decades and this was the best bass fishing trip I have ever had. Pat is an amazing guide, extremely easy to get along with and a true pleasure to fish with. Pat is a man you can sure ride the river with. He will be a friend for life.Posted on Google JessicaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ol’ Florida Adventure provided my family and friends with a delightful experience along the Indian River Lagoon! Captain Pat took us on a leisurely cruise, allowing us to soak in the stunning views while spotting wildlife. The highlight was stopping at one of the local waterfront restaurants for a delicious lunch. The combination of sightseeing and dining made it a perfect outing. It was a wonderful day out on the water. Highly recommend Capt. Pat!Load moreVerified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Common questions
What should I bring?
Polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and whatever you want to eat and drink. We supply all rods, reels, tackle and safety gear.
Do I need a Florida fishing license?
No license is needed for our saltwater charters, up to six anglers are covered under our commercial captain's license. Freshwater trips (Headwaters & Stick Marsh) do require a valid Florida freshwater fishing license, which you can pick up online or at most bait shops.
Where do we launch?
Depends on the trip — Headwaters Lake, Stick Marsh, or the Sebastian River. You'll get exact launch coordinates and directions when your booking is confirmed.
What happens if the weather turns?
Safety comes first. If it isn't safe to be out there, we reschedule you or refund you in full.
Can I book the catamaran now?
Yes. It launches November 2026 and we're holding 2026 and 2027 dates now. Send the date and headcount and we'll quote it.
Can you handle a large group before November?
The tri-toon takes six at a time. For bigger groups this season we can run back-to-back trips — ask and we'll work it out.
